A Case of Gorham Disease with Chylothorax in a Child Treated by Surgery and Radiotherapy

Abstract

|
A 14-yr-old boy with past history of right rib fracture was admitted because of a right chylothorax. Osteolytic changes of right ribs and T7 vertebra were noted on plain radiograph and computed tomographic scan of chest. An open thoracic duct ligation and 6th rib biopsy were done which was confirmed as Gorham disease. After surgery he was treated with additional radiotherapy and showed stable condition up to 9 months after treatment.
